Capturing the power of the moment
When curating photography options, please browse through our selected libraries of both event photography and stock photography. Use your best judgement to showcase the most bold or dynamic photos relevant to the copy.
For video, these guidelines set minimum production quality standards to ensure we provide our audiences with a high-quality experience. This section will not only reveal the best practices for a standard video piece, but resources for b-roll and approved footage for use.

Photography
Photography can be used as supplemental imagery in slide deck presentations, social posts, emails, blog posts, video and more.
Event photos
Imagery used from previous years at Insight are available for use. Chosen images should convey moments of connection, imply an uplifting, positive tone, communicate a sense of optimism while having a dynamic, rather than static feel.

Stock and industry photos
Industry images must accurately represent who we are and the positive impact we have on our customers. Images should exhibit a sense of energy—natural or dramatic light is important in achieving this goal, as well as authentic emotion.
Please refer to our use of photography curation and best practices from the Trimble Brand Guidelines when sourcing photography.

Integrating photography
Photography masks
When using the curve as a mask for the photography, it is crucial that the photo subject works within the composition of the mask itself, as well as having relevancy to the theme of Insight.

San Diego's skyline is used in this version of the "masked" component, to highlight the skyscrapers in contrast to the water and horizon.

Brussel's intricate architecture is highlighted with the "masked" component, calling attention to the unique steeples and spires.
Structure
When experimenting with photography and the curve visual motifs, make the figure is always aligned to the left or right margin of the canvas. You can have the option of the curve either layered in front of the photo figure, or behind depending on the composition and what works best.
