Best practices for maintaining the Trimble Insight logo integrity and common errors to avoid.
Alignment
The alignment within the artboard of the full lockup should always be anchored to the left margin of the canvas or frame.
When determining the clearspace from the top margin, the ideal use would be equal to the 2x height of the Trimble Flag for the buffer area. However, if there are size constraints on the canvas, the minimum clearspace between the top margin and the logo should be 1x height of the Trimble Flag for the buffer area.

Scaling for different canvas sizes
For consistent scaling of the logo amongst varying canvas sizing, please keep the Trimble Flag Height at 8% of the overall canvas height size.
For example, for a 1920 x 1080px artboard, the height of the logo itself should be approximately 86.4px. When calculating, please round the height size to one decimal place. Here are some of the most common canvas sizes, as well as the calculated logo height:
- 1920 x 1080px (Landscape) = 86.4px Logo Height
- 1080px (Square) = 86.4px Logo Height
- 1080 x 1920px (Portrait) = 153.6px Logo Height
- 3840 x 2160px (Landscape) = 172.8px Logo Height
- 1200 x 600px (Landscape) = 48px Logo Height
Correct usage
Use the Regular logo over light colored or white backgrounds.
Use the Regular logo over very light colored photography.
Use the Reversed logo over dark colored backgrounds or photography. The Trimble Flag should only be used over the darker portions of the gradient.
Incorrect usage
Do not use the logo over low contrast colors.
Do not use the logo on overly busy backgrounds.
Do not use the logo over distracting graphic elements.
Do not center logo. Always keep the logo aligned to the left margin of the artboard/canvas.
Avoid layering the blue logo on mid-tones like pink or orange. This causes 'visual vibration' and a clashing effect that strains the eyes and reduces legibility.
